Question

What is the difference between uniform velocity and non-uniform velocity?

Solution

Velocity: The rate of change of an entity's location with regard to a conceptual framework as well as time is generally characterized as its velocity.

  1. It is denoted by “v”.
  2. The SI unit of velocity is ms-1.
  3. It is a vector quantity.

Uniform velocity:

Uniform velocity is defined as the condition wherein the object travels the same distance in a similar amount of time.

Non-uniform velocity:

Non-uniform velocity arises whenever uneven displacement happens within an identical time frame.

Difference between uniform and non-uniform velocity:

Uniform velocityNon-uniform velocity
An item with constant velocity travels the same distance in the same amount of time. When such an item travels different lengths in equal intervals mostly in a specific orientation.
A uniformly moving item has a fixed direction. When the direction of motion fluctuates, it would seem to be non-uniform.
Example: A traveling object with a uniform velocity of 10kmh-1 towards the north.Example: A constant-speed spinning fan with changing velocity.
