When the prokaryotic cells fold the fibres it forms a genophore.
The undefined nucleus is surrounded by chromatin fibres.
It refers to the corresponding chromosome that function as inherited material in prokaryotes, viruses and semi-autonomous organelles.
It consists of nucleic acids, DNA or RNA but lacks histone proteins.
