CFC's or chlorofluorocarbons are compounds made up of chlorine, fluorine and carbon.CFC's are easily liquefied on applying pressure.These liqufied compounds are used in air conditioners as they produce a cooling effect on evaporation.Appliances such as A.C. release CFCs into the atmosphere when they are abandoned. When these compounds are released into the atmosphere they disturb the ozone-oxygen cyclic process. As a result these CFC's causes ozone layer depletion.
