What is the function of oviduct?

Oviduct:

1. The oviduct is a long muscular tube that carries eggs from the ovary to the uterus.
2. It is also called the fallopian tube.
3. The fertilization occurs in the fallopian tube.

Function of Oviduct:

1. They collect the ovulated ovum in the infundibulum which guides the egg into the oviduct.
2. The site of fertilization.
3. It transports the embryo to the uterus.
4. The fertilized embryo migrates to the uterus within 3-5 days.
