Open in App
Solution

Meiosis:

  1. In eukaryotes, meiosis is an important part of the sexual cycle.
  2. It is a form of cell division that creates gametes, such as sperm or egg cells, in germ cells organisms.
  3. It takes two rounds of division to produce four cells, each with only one copy of each chromosome (haploid).
  4. Primary spermatocytes and primary oocytes in males and females, as well as pollen mother cells and megaspore mother cells in angiosperms, all go through meiosis.
