Eubacteria: These are the true bacteria that consist of cyanobacteria, mycoplasma, actinomycetes, rickettsia, and spirochaetes.

Reproduction in Eubacteria: Eubacteria exhibit two types of reproduction namely Asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction.

Asexual reproduction:

  1. It is the most common type of reproduction seen in them.
  2. Asexual reproduction is of different types like- binary fission, budding, and sporulation.
  3. Asexual reproduction involves only a single parent cell and the daughter cells are completely identical to the parent cells.

Sexual reproduction:

  1. Eubacteria is of primitive mode in which no gamete formation and cell union take place.
  2. In this type of reproduction exchange of genetic material takes place.
  3. Transformation, transduction, and conjugation are three methods for sexual reproduction in eubacteria.
