When do we say that a body is at rest when do we say that it is moving?

Rest or moving condition of a body.

1. To check the rest or moving condition of the body we observe the position of an object with respect to time.
2. If the position of the object does not change with respect to the time it is said to be in the position of rest.
3. Example: books placed on the table.
4. If the position of object changes with respect to the time it is said to be in the moving condition.
5. Example: Vehicle moving on the road.
