When we get any hurt blood flows and then stops after sometime but when we get a very big hurt blood bleeds very badly and sometime there is a lot of blood loss.I know that blood clots and bleeding stops but for big hurts why it takes a lot of time to stop and people die because of blood loss . Why so?

If too much blood volume is lost, a condition known as hypovolemic shock can occur. Hypovolemic shock is a medical emergency in which severe blood and fluid loss impedes the heart to pump sufficient blood to the body. Clotting of blood will be much slower for big wounds so that too much blood is losed.
