Solution

The correct option is B y=log(x2t2)log(xt)
As we know that, the equation of travelling wave is given by
y=f(xvt) +ve x direction
y=f(x+vt) ve x direction
(a) y=x2t2
=(xt)(x+t)
y=(y1)(y2)
It is the multiplication of two travelling wave which is not a condition of a travelling wave.
(b) y=cosx2sint
It is the equation of standing wave. So, it is not a travelling wave
(c) y=log(x2t2)log(xt)
=log(x2t2)(xt)
y=log(x+t)
Which represents the equation of travelling wave.
(d) y=e2xsint
This equation is not in the form of f(x±vt).So, this is not a travelling wave.

Final answer: (c)
