ABO blood grouping is the widely accepted blood group in the humans which was first reported by Karl Landsteiner. There are more than 30 antigens present on the surface of blood cells which determine different types of blood groups. O blood group is a universal donor, it does not have any antigen on its blood cells while the AB blood group is the universal recipient as it does not have any antibodies. B blood group has antibodies a so it cannot donate blood to A blood group.
