The bodies which do not emit light energy of their own are known as non-luminous bodies.
Moon and planets do not have light energy of their own, they just reflect the light of the sun which falls on their surface.
Hence moon and planets are called non-luminous bodies.
Other examples of non-luminous are trees, pens, and walls.
