Why does cutting of hair cause no pain?

Cutting of hair causes no pain due to the following reasons:

1. Hair are not living cells. They are made up of a tough, dead substance called keratin.
2. They are made up of dead cells.
3. Further they do not have nerve cells or neurons, therefore the sensation of pain cannot be carried to the brain or spinal cord.
