Why is leech called parasite?

Parasites:

1. These animals live on or inside the body of other animals or plants and take food from them.
2. Leech, tapeworm, and roundworm are parasites.
3. Leeches attach themselves to the skin of the host and sucks blood to get nutrition, so they are called parasites.
