Why should we regularly eat foods that contain vitamins B and C?

Vitamins:

  1. Vitamins are necessary nutrients that protect the body from various types of diseases.
  2. There are two forms of Vitamins - water-soluble vitamins and fat-soluble vitamins.
  3. Vitamin C and vitamin B complex are categorised as water-soluble vitamins.
  4. These types of vitamins are not stored in our bodies and so they should be implemented in our diet regularly.

Vitamin B complex:

  1. The source of vitamin B is milk, eggs, cheese, butter etc.
  2. Deficiency of vitamin B complex can lead to various types of diseases such as beriberi, pellagra, anaemia etc.

Vitamin C:

  1. The source of vitamin B are milk, eggs, cheese, butter etc and the source of vitamin C are lemon, orange, guava, cabbage etc.
  2. The deficiency of vitamin C(ascorbic acid) leads to a type of disease which is known as scurvy.
