Air-borne diseases:

1. Air borne diseases are the diseases caused by the microbes present in the air.
2. Microbes can be transmitted by sneezing, coughing etc.
3. One such example of air-borne disease is the common cold.

Preventive measures:

1. Washing hands using appropriate hand disinfectant.
2. Obtaining frequent immunizations against illnesses believed to be locally present.
3. Wearing a respirator, and limiting time spent in the vicinity of any patient suspected to be a source of infection
