Properties-
Bleaching powder is a yellowish white coloured solid substance.Its chemical name is calcium oxychloride.
It has a strong odour of chlorine gas.
Dilute sulphuric acid and dilute hydrochloric acid react rapidly with bleaching powder to release chlorine gas completely.
