Partnerships and Student Exchange Programs by IIM Lucknow
Through the International exchange programmes, students spend a portion of their time studying at business schools throughout the world. Scholarships
Providing financial assistance is primarily intended for ensuring that no candidate is prevented from completing a course due to financial constraints.
- Need-based IIML Scholarships: The institution has established a need-based scholarship programme for students based on their family’s income. Any student regardless of caste, creed, gender, or religion, who meets the eligibility criteria can apply.
After the admissions, the eligibility and reimbursement criteria will be notified. The scholarship is for a one-year period (no auto-renewal is applicable).
The reimbursement is done term by term, and it is dependent on the accomplishment of the term’s academic requirements. A student may not be eligible for more than one scholarship.
Financial assistance for Doctoral Students
During the third and fourth years, one national and one international professional society’s yearly membership fees (scholar/student rates) would be reimbursed.
- Travel/boarding/lodging and local conveyance expenses for case-writing and field-based research during the third and fourth years are reimbursed up to Rs. 50,000.
- The institute also provides facilities for married FPM scholars who live on campus with their families. This includes a refund of the family health insurance premium. The institute offers a joint health insurance cover of Rs. One hundred thousand for the candidate, her/his spouse, and two children. The premium payable for Rs. 100,000 can be reimbursed.
Fellowship Grant
- All resident Indian scholars enrolled on the programme get a four-and-a-half-year fellowship allowance. Additionally, they are exempt from fees and receive free hostel facilities. Married scholars and their immediate families are welcome to stay in the campus hostel (spouse and children).
- During the first and second years, scholars are awarded a fellowship stipend of Rs. 35,000 per month. The stipend will be paid until the scholar fulfils the Comprehensive Examination at the conclusion of the second year.
- A stipend of Rs. 40,000 per month will be paid for the rest of the programme after passing the evaluation in the third year.
Contingency Grant
- All resident Indian scholars enrolled on the programme are awarded a four-and-a-half-year contingency allowance. A contingency grant of Rs. 10,000 per year in the first and second years, and Rs. 15,000 per year in the third and fourth years of the programme.
- This grant can be used to buy books, stationery, computer hardware/software, and other materials. A one-time computer purchase stipend of Rs. 50,000 is available before the completion of the course.
Campus Life at IIM Lucknow
IIM Lucknow is a prominent fully residential institute that offers housing for over 1000 students and 75 staff members It is situated on a splendid 185-acre campus in the city, well known for its rich cultural and architectural heritage.
Health and Wellness
- In addition to a dispensary with a network of affiliated hospitals, the medical facilities offer unique medicare assistance.
- A resident doctor and nursing team are available round the clock to care for the community’s health needs. A resident physician, a gynaecologist conduct consultations, and a homoeopathic physician are available for consultation.
- There is a 24-hour ambulance service and four paramedics available around the clock.
- For diagnostic purposes, accredited labs have been engaged.
- A certified yoga instructor takes yoga sessions in the morning throughout the year.
Hostel
- The institute has been effectively operating a facility of 128 air-conditioned rooms to ensure that participants have a comfortable stay.
- Chanakya and Patanjali are the names of the guesthouse buildings. There is a dining room in the Chanakya building. Each building includes 64 air-conditioned rooms with LCD televisions, wireless internet access, tea and coffee making facilities, and other basic amenities.
- The housing, children’s park and the other facilities contribute to the high-quality life at IIM Lucknow, and the pleasant surroundings foster a rewarding lifestyle.
Services and Retail
A retail centre and various amenities make this institute a small town. Among the campus’ many amenities are mini department stores, a post office, a bank, and a cafeteria. In addition, retail shops and services are available on campus to serve the daily needs of the campus community.
Recreation and Sports
- A wide array of sports facilities is available at IIM L, which provides an enabling environment in a wide range of individual and team sports.
- IIM-L Campus has Basketball Courts, Squash Court, Indoor Badminton Courts, football/cricket area, Lawn Tennis Courts, and a Volleyball Court.
- The recently constructed UMANG has a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, squash and billiards court, gym, and other leisure facilities.

The campus is situated at Prabandh Nagar, about 21 kilometres from Lucknow Railway Station and 31 kilometres from Lucknow Airport.

- The library is named Gyanodaya- The Rich Learning Resource. This two-storied, 30,000-square-foot library is a storehouse of current and historical information. The Faculty block is called- Chintan, Bodh Griha -The PGP Block, Manthan – The MDP Block, and Samadhan-The Administrative Block.

Summer placements for the 37th batch of PGP students and the 18th batch of PGP-ABM students were completed successfully by IIM Lucknow.
