Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) is the autonomous education board in the state of Jharkhand which is mainly responsible for conducting Matric (class 10) and Intermediate (class 12) exams every year. The Jharkhand board of JAC is administered by the State Government of Jharkhand and thrives to improve the quality of education in the state.
Latest Notification: The Official Circular released by JAC confirms the postponement of the Jharkhand Class 10 and Class 12 Exam 2021 for the schools. As per the notice, “In view of current COVID-19 situation across the state the Board Examination of Matric and Inter is postponed with immediate effect.” Further, reports go on to confirm that following the postponement, the department is likely to announce the revised exam dates for JAC Classes 1o and 12 Exam 2021 in June. However, JAC President, Maheep Kumar Singh has also clarified that Board examinations are not Cancelled as of now.

JAC Details
The JAC or the Jharkhand Academic Council is the main educational board of Jharkhand which is responsible for conducting secondary or class 10 exams and intermediate or class 12 exams. Apart from conducting exams, the JAC is also responsible for prescribing courses, syllabus and books for all the schools affiliated with the Jharkhand board. Also, giving recognition to the schools is also one of the functions of the JAC.
The JAC matric exams and the JAC intermediate exams are conducted in the months of February and March while the results are declared by June. Almost 4.5 lakh students appear for the class 10 exams while 3.2 lakh students appear for the class 12 exams every year.

JAC Exam Routine (Dates) and Results
The Jharkhand board generally conducts class 10 (matric) exams and class 12 (intermediate) exams in the month of February. The exams start by the third week of February and end by second week March. The results of both the class 10 and class 12 exams are declared in the month of June.
