COMEDK 2018 Exam Paper Analysis

The Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Undergraduate Entrance Test which is abbreviated as COMEDK UGET is a state level competitive entrance exam for aspirants who are interested in engineering and medical courses offered by various colleges affiliated to COMEDK.

The COMEDK 2018 examination was held on 13th May 2018. Candidates will be able to access the provisional answer key of COMEDK 2018 on 17th May 2018. The results are likely to be announced on May end. The COMEDK 2018 entrance examination this year was easy and direct according to most candidates. Almost 80% of the question in all the 3 sections were easy to moderate level. For well-prepared candidates, attempting 130 – 140 questions would not have been difficult.

COMEDK 2018 Question Pattern

The COMEDK 2018 exam had 3 sections namely Physics, Chemistry, and Math. There were a total of 60 questions in each section with each question carrying 1 mark. The detailed question paper pattern for COMEDK 2018 is given in the table below.

According to experts students scoring 100 in the exam can expect to get a rank around 6000. With this rank, students can get admission in some of the best colleges in Karnataka that accept COMEDK score.

COMEDK 2018 Paper Analysis

In the Mathematics section of COMEDK 2018 examination, the majority of the questions were from functions, algebra, trigonometry, permutation & combination, limits & continuity, probability, and calculus. The mathematics section had a lot of questions directly from the textbooks, so securing a score of 45 is not very difficult for students.

In the Chemistry section, most of the questions were from chemical bonding, inorganic chemistry, along with numerical questions. Students are expected to score at least 38 – 40 in this section.

The Physics section was a little difficult than that of Mathematics and Chemistry. Most of the questions were asked from topics like thermodynamics, electrostatics, oscillations, motion, etc. with an accuracy of 85%, students who have attempted more than 50 questions can easily secure a score of 40 in the Physics section.
