SSC JE Notification 2019 update-

SSC has announced the tentative SSC JE vacancy 2019 on 19th October 2020. A total of 887 vacancies are announced for Junior Engineer 2019 examination. The detailed SSC Junior Engineer Vacancy 2019 as published by the commission is given below-

The Staff Selection Commission has revised the exam date of SSC JE Paper I and Paper II 2019 exams. The commission released a notification on October 7th 2020 announcing the revised date of JE 2019 exam, which is as follows-

• SSC JE Paper I – will be conducted on 11 December 2020 (only for candidates who opted exam centres in Bihar) and for other candidates, the dates will remain unchanged i.e. exam will be conducted from 27th October only. 
• SSC JE Paper-II – which was scheduled to be conducted on 31st January 2021 is now postponed to March 21st 2021.

Earlier, the Staff Selection Commission as per the SSC JE Notification released on July 21st 2020, scheduled the paper I of SSC Junior Engineer from October 27th to October 30th 2020.

SSC JE Vacancy

The Staff Selection Commission will announce the SSC JE Vacancy 2020 for the following posts in due course-

The official notification released by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment of Junior Engineers for the year 2020 does not mention the number of vacancies. However, the SSC Junior Engineer Vacancy for 2019 was 1845 while that of SSC JE 2018 recruitment 1601 vacancies were released.

SSC JE Exam – Apply Online

The SSC JE online application 2020 will start from the date of release of SSC JE official notification.

As per the SSC JE notification 2019, the online application procedure for the SSC JE 2019-20 started from August 13, 2019. Eligible candidates can log in to the SSC official website (ssc.nic.in) and for more details, they can read about the SSC JE Apply Online process on the linked page.  

The SSC JE 2019 application fee for taking the exam is Rs. 100/-. However, female candidates, Ex-Servicemen, SC/ ST, Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates are exempted from paying the application fee for SSC JE Exam. The fee can be either paid offline (e-challan) or through online means like Internet banking/credit card/debit card etc.

SSC JE Examination Centres

At the time of filling up the online SSC JE Application Form, a candidate has the option to select the examination centre of his preference.

SSC JE Admit Card

New Admit Card for SSC JE Paper I 2019 will be issued for candidates who will appear for the exam in October 2020.

Earlier, the Commission released the SSC JE Admit card 2019 to conduct SSC Junior Engineer Exam form March 30th to April 2nd, 2020 which now stands postponed.

Once the application is completed, the SSC JE Notification for Admit Card releases. Applicants whose application form are accepted are eligible to download the exam call letter on intimation. Candidates can download the SSC Junior Engineer Admit Card from the official website or the SSC Regional websites.

Here are a few tips on how to download the SSC JE Admit Card 2019:

1. Visit the SSC official website (ssc.nic.in).
2. Click on the link ‘SSC JE 2019 Admit Card’.
3. Enter the required credentials i.e. Registration ID and Date of Birth (DoB).
4. Take a printout of the Admit Card to carry it to the examination centre on the exam day.

The details that an Admit card would include Candidate’s Name, Registration ID, Test centre, Test date and time. The documents that you need to carry along with the admit card include a copy of the application form, Photograph and Photo ID. In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, you can contact SSC regional/sub-regional centre immediately for immediate correction.

SSC JE Exam Pattern

SSC JE 2021 selection procedure consists of two stages – Tier I and Tier II. Tier I is a Computer Based Test while Tier II is an Offline Written Descriptive Test.
